The Eden Project and The Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Centre have launched The Big Bulb Plant to encourage communities to get together for a day of planting bulbs.Autumn is the time to plant spring flowering bulbs such as tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and crocuses.
They are cheap, easy to plant and can be planted anywhere.

The Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Centre has also produced a new free video guide, How to Plant Spring Bulbs with author and gardening editor Martyn Cox. The 8-minute vodcast teaches the basics of planting bulbs and has tips and ideas for planting schemes. Cox is the author of gardening books, including Gardening with Kids, 101 Ideas for Small Gardens
and RHS Wildlife Garden.
